•Organizing and managing school finance, in accordance with Financial Handbook,and administering payroll
•Assisting the Directors in establishing the budget planning and financialcontrol and procedures through which they shall be achieved, includingdevelopment of resource plans as required.
•Advising on compliance with legislation and guidance.
•Other duties of an appropriate level and nature may also be required, asdirected by the Directors.
•In consultation with the directors prepare the school’s annual budget andreview and update as necessary.
•Monitor income and expenditure in relation to the school’s budget, and producemonthly reports for the Directors and the Finance Committee.
•Keep all school accounts and prepare income and expenditure reports inaccordance with the financial regulations and shall prepare accounts forsubmission to the school’s auditors.
•Assist in the preparation for the annual audit, liaising with all partiesinvolved.
•Maintain and oversee all bank accounts, completing monthly reconciliations andreporting banking errors to the directors.
•Assist in the preparation of accurate tax accounting and payment so that taxreclaim returns are submitted as required.
•Be responsible for all elements of cash handling including collections anddisbursements, banking and security, fundraising and school trips.
•Be responsible for the completion of the school’s payroll, ensuring all formsincluding timesheets, new starter/leaver/variation forms and annual returns aresubmitted within required deadlines.
•Monitor the payment of salaries by the school’s payroll provider, liaising withthe provider as required.
•In conjunction with the nominated staff members, scrutinise and attend to thepayment of all invoices and statements of account.
•Carry out and keep analyses of costs and other statistical information.
•Co-ordinate and maintain a list of approved contractors and suppliers to ensurebest value.
•Manage, negotiate and monitor all contracts, leases and relationships withexternal contractors.
•Manage staff contracts in accordance with the school’s procedures.
•Ensure that all administrative duties, checks, documentation, reports andreturns (internal and external) are completed accurately and submitted withinrequired deadlines.
•Collate information, statistics and prepare reports as required by theDirectors.
