Job Description

OVERVIEW: 

An Oracle APEX Applications Developer primarily responsible for developing new applications and supporting & enhancing existing applications using Oracle Application Express, PL/SQL, Advance Queueing, XML/XSD and other development tools. Also responsible for working with business analysts, fellow IT resources, consultants and Oracle support on resolution of production issues as they occur with the Oracle APEX system. They have strong analytical, excellent trouble shooting, programming and unit testing skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Requirements  

Bachelor in computer science or equivalent experience in Information Technology field.
3+ years of experience working with Oracle APEX and Oracle Database products with increasing levels of responsibility 
Strong understanding of Oracle technology solutions and direction. 
Provides recommendations on the nature, scope and complexity of solutions 
Expertise in writing technical requirement document 
Demonstrated interest and ability to quickly learn new technologies 
Responsible for Oracle APEX code development and maintenance, implementation, performance tuning, and migration. 
Demonstrated experience with custom theming, custom interactive reporting and dynamic actions .

A good understanding of using jQuery, jQuery UI and jQuery mobile and its use within APEX is preferred. 
Maintain and enforce SQL and PL/SQL development coding standards and best practices. 
Assist in the development and maintenance of technical documentation, user documentation, and process guidelines. 
Ability to quickly grasp new concepts, incorporate innovations, and stay up to date with industry and business directions. 
Oracle APEX, PL/SQL, SQL, Stored procedures, functions and packages, Scripting and SQL Developer or alike. 
Collaborate with Oracle Support to provide solutions as functional and technical bugs are encountered.
