Job Description

• Work on challenging assignments that include investigating, trouble-shooting, and solving a wide variety of architectural engineering issues for power plant, industrial, commercial and government building designs
• Coordinate the architectural design with other disciplines, such as structural, HVAC, fire protection, electrical, and plumbing
• Develop and interpret the design criteria and architectural design
• Modify and adapt existing architectural design features to meet a variety of situations
• Present architectural design recommendations and proposals to staff and clients
• Assist in the preparation of 3D electronic design models and final construction documents for buildings and equipment enclosures
• Conduct code analysis for architectural designs
• Conduct analysis for energy code compliance associated with architectural designs
• Review and coordinate vendor submittals for conformity with construction documents
• Develop your career via peer-learning through sharing of knowledge by way of S&L’s system of processes and associated Communities of Practice
• Meet the requirements of annual continuing education with health, safety, and welfare learning units consistent with most state license requirements (typically 12 learning units or more per year)
• Provide guidance as a mentor in the development of less experienced architects and architectural designers
