Scope and Objectives

Finance Officer function established by the management of the organization to Improve the quality of Sungi Development Foundations Finance department through implementation of finance policies and procedures In addition, will be responsible for promoting a positive public image of our organization.

 Reporting Lines

The position reports to the Director Finance for all administrative, managerial and planning matters.

 Roles and Responsibilities

Improving the quality of Sungi Development Foundations Finance department through implementation of finance policies and procedures.

 The key responsibilities

 Accurate financial recording as per Sungi and Donors’ policies and procedures of the assigned location.

1. Cash and bank management including safe keeping of petty cash.
2. Cash flow statement for each bank account
3. Advise on financial matters to Project Head and project staff.
4. Preparation of monthly financial monitor FIN 8 and obtaining comments from location head. This information will be required not only by HO Finance person but by relevant Project/Project Head.
5. Monthly financial reports (under standard cover memos sent from HO finance focal person) through location head to focal person in HO finance within deadline set;
6. Any other relevant task as assigned by supervisor(s)
